Owing to their brand recognition on its own, they had almost no difficulty producing excitement throughout the off season. But they’ve also stated clearly that they only want to compete for a championship with certain key stars in their first squad.
Although names such as Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen and Bae “Bang” Jun-sik are talent, folks are not yet convinced for the possibilities of reclaiming the LCS throne of Team Liquid.
The history from EG as such an org, particularly in the area of DOTA, must be partially contextualised in its deeper competition with Team Liquid. Yet the Legends Squad was consistently mediocre in its lead in complete contradiction to their DOTA results.
Whilst the LCS leader straight out of the door, EG called itself. EG tried to ensure to position the emblem and put a mark on Liquid’s chest from the moment they were established in the League, that every LCS squad won’t be invulnerable to their fury.
Each strong league has a face, and EG has taken a forward position. They are respected for their reputation and determination to give the finest talents we can (they also wanted to recruit Jeong “Chovy” Griffin’s Ji-hoon) and are despised for roasting everyone else and not needing no ability to actively support them.
Valuable C9 newcomer former novice Colin “Kumo” Zhang in the top lane, Summer Split MVP Svenskeren jungle in 2019, European top mid laner Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro, world two-time champion Bang and 2018 semi-finalist world champion Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam. In a global situation in which Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg does not play for TSM or C9 renders a surprising roster move until competition, the majority of people consider this squad to be a great top 4 LCS team.
But it is impossible to disregard the background while rating EG. Kumo has only 4 LCS matches on his arsenal though eligible. Upon taking on a new squad, Svenskeren was encouraged to begin his plunge. From one of the worst stretch of his career Jiizuke arrives young. Bang was battling ahead of NA and never really made 100 Thieves playoffs. Zeyzal was one of the poorest competitors at the 2019 World Championships in the last game of C9.
Such a group is powerful but also balanced on paper. It’s a good team of individuals, who are normally ranked beyond or bound by the criteria that most individuals are using to assess (by deciding from their latest problems). Everyone does not have to do with the problem that prevents anyone from trying to jump on the EG hype train.
The LCS applies to the group of TSM, C9 and TL in a definitive way. This is quite humorous in itself, however, even though the participation of EG throughout the LCS is almost two seasons before Liquid is. Such squads have the brand strength and origins next to them and often reigned somehow in the regular season in the eyes of paralyzing odds.
After the second year in a row, TSM had another revised lineup. Cloud9 missed its only continued success, Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, both national and global. Visa problems with Team Liquid’s Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen stopped him throughout the offspring and it could drive him into separating with a replacement.
It is now the ideal moment to break into the stage and dump the news in the recently meshed EG unit. A ruthless off-season allowed supporters and experts to stick so passionately to the armor of the LCS plot. The signals that EG became a top four squad throughout the LCS last spring were always ahead of us, we were just a script servant.
